OBLIGATIONS REQUIRED OF ALL LICENSED TERMITE COMPANIES IN CALIFORNIA:

Anyone performing a Termite Inspection in the State of California is required to have a Branch 3 License with the State of California Structural Pest Control Board.  
 Inspections Plus uses  only those companies or individuals that are Branch 3 Licensed with the California State Structural Pest Control Board. 

ALL TERMITE INSPECTION REPORTS INCLUDE COST ESTIMATES TO CORRECT SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 ITEMS AND :

All termite inspection reports include a description of any Section 1 items that require immediate action to eliminate any existing problems or conditions.  All termite inspection reports include a description of any Section 2 items that may lead to problems or conditions if not currently corrected.   All termite inspection reports include cost estimates to correct both Section 1 and Section 2 items.  The termite companies who issue the termite inspection reports can also perform the proper repairs and can issue the proper termite clearances.

ALL TERMITE INSPECTION REPORTS ARE FILED WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL BOARD WITHIN 30 DAYS:

Within 30 days, all termite inspection reports are filed with the State of California Structural Pest Control Board as required by California State law which remain on file for a period of two years.  

PRE-INSPECTION CHECKLIST BEFORE THE TERMITE INSPECTION:

  • Remove items below the kitchen sink and vanities.
  • Locate the attic access and make accessible for 5 ft ladder.
  • Remove storage from base of garage walls.
  • Check for access to underneath of home.  If access is inside it must be accessible at time of inspections.
  • Check around outside walls of home for storage, firewood or other items making portions of exterior inaccessible.
  • Be sure water & electricity are on at time of inspection.

A Termite Inspection includes the following areas that are visible and accessible:
  • Roof, Overhangs, Gutters, Eaves, Trim, Attic
  • Outside Walls
  • Foundation and Grade
  • Crawlspace, Basement & Foundation
  • External Areas
  • Interior Locations

HOW DO I SEARCH FOR PAST TERMITE INSPECTION INFORMATION ON A PROPERTY ?
  • You may search the Board's Wood Destroying Organism System to see if a specific property has been inspected within the last two years. The Board's database is very specific so the best results are usually found by entering in limited information, for example, only the building number and zip code. This will ensure that the entire database is checked for the information you are seeking.

  • If results are found on the specific property, you may send a written request to the Board to obtain copies of the inspection reports. You can also fill out the Request for Copy of Inspection or Completion Reports. Written requests may be:
